Italian Book Club Read-Alongs (April 16, 23, 30)
Join us for a three-part read-along and book discussion of Jhumpa Lahiri’s In Other Words, in partnership with Accento World Book Club. The read-along will take place at the lounge in Vecino Center (3477 Myer Lee Drive, Winston-Salem) on April 16, 23, and 30 from 6-7pm.
In Other Words is deeply personal memoir that explores Lahiri’s journey of self-reinvention as she immerses herself in the Italian language. The book is uniquely written in dual-language format, with one page in Italian and the same page in English, making it an excellent read for both Italian learners and literature lovers alike. Each session, we’ll read select chapters aloud in Italian, and then we’ll open up the floor for a lively discussion of the chapters you’ve read throughout the week.
